A Pigeon Is Stuck In A Room: How Do We Remove It?
Having a pigeon stuck in a room is no fun at all – pigeons cause a tremendous amount of mess wherever they are and if they are trapped and afraid, the mess is likely to be worse due to their fear. So if a pigeon is stuck in a room – how do we remove it? The first thing to remember is never feed a pigeon – the abundance of food is one of the things pigeons find attractive about human habitation. The only occasion when you might want to use food is in order to trap and remove the bird. It is essential to identify how the pigeon gained access to your building – and then take steps to rectify that problem. Sealing any possible entryways into your home can be done in a number of ways.
Once you have pigeon proofed the room you must try to remove the bird – it may be possible to scare the creature or even catch it in a box or with a sheet, however, this will make more mess. If there is any windows or doors leading outside then an obvious solution is to pen these and remove screens. Try ‘herding' the bird out into the open, moving slowly and calmly while blocking entry further into your home with your body.
